We drove to Muckross House, on the outskirts of Killarney National Park. It being “Holy Thursday”, the place was packed with tourists.
After a wonderful Irish breakfast at the Whispering Pines B&B, we headed to the Beara Peninsula. Driving south across the base of the peninsula from Kenmare, we reached the outskirts of Glengarriff and walked around in the Glengarriff Woods Nature Preserve.
Departed Boston (Aer Lingus) at 7:15 Monday 4/10/2017, and landed in Shannon about 5am local time Tuesday 4/11. Got rental car: driver is on the right hand side of car, stick shift (much cheaper and more available than automatic) with stick to driver’s left. Driving on the left.
